  Oh please, spare us the crocodile tears. You were the same people shouting family and friends when kapuepue appointed his family and cronies to the high offices of the land. Dr Kwetey should have sought appointment to a private bank, not a state owned bank. The backlash was totally predictable and justified.

  THE FUCKING THING IS IS WHEN GHANAIAN LEADERS LOOT THEIR COUNTRY, THEY PUMP OUT OR SMUGGLE THEIR LOOT TO FATTEN WESTERN BANKS' CASH RESERVES TO GROW THE WESTERN ECONOMIES, THEN THEY (GHANA LEADERS) GO BACK AGAIN BEGGING THE IMF/WORLD BANK AND OTHER LENDERS FOR MORE LOANS TO LOOT AND DUMP THE REPAYMENTS ON THE ORDINARY GHANAIAN TAXPAYER TO COUGH UP IN KILLER TAXES AND PRICE LEVELS.
  
  ANOTHER GOVERNMENT COMES IN, AND A NEW CYCLE OF LOOTING STARTS ALL OVER AGAIN. THIS HAS BEEN THE TREND SINCE 1957.
  
  THAT'S WHY GHANA WILL CONTINUE TO BE A SHITHOLE BEGGAR NATION OF CLUELESS THEIVING LEADERS TILL THY KINGDOM COME.
  
  SINCE 1957, GHANA HAS NEVER FUNDED A SINGLE INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT FROM ITS OWN INTERNALLY-GENERATED FUNDS. JUST LAST WEEK, THEY CALLED IN EASTERN EUROPEANS TO COME FUND A TRAM SYSTEM IN EXCHANGE FOR OUR MINERAL AND OTHER NATURAL RESOURCES.
  
  GHANA HAS ALMOST EVERY NATURAL RESOURCE TO MAKE THE COUNTRY LESS DEPENDENT ON FOREIGNERS FOR OUR INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS, BUT OUR LEADERS ARE SO USELESS AS OUR UNIVERSITIES THAT WE CAN'T MANAGE PROFITABLY EVEN AN ECONOMICALLY VIABLE OIL REFINERY AND A THRIVING NATIONAL AIRLINE LIKE TAX-FREE QATAR AIRWAYS, EMIRATES OR SAUDIA AIRLINES.
  
  THAT SHOWS HOW USELESS BLACK AFRICANS ARE AS A HUMAN SPECIES. THAT'S WHY NO ONE RESPECTS BLACKS ACROSS THE GLOBE.

  No matter how qualified the lady was, the significant thing any newspaper will highlight is the fact that the appointee is the wife of a government party top. Daily Graphic didn't say she was not qualified. It went on to say that. The lady may not be the only qualified person for that job. We cannot escape the fact that she may not have gotten that job if her husband's government were not in power. This has nothing to do with affirmative action. She could have gotten a job in the private sector with her "credentials".
  
  As the previous commentator said, we cried against such things in the Kapwepwe government. We should cry against it in this government too. It is not enough to say she was qualified.

  People need to stop hiding behind the entire nepotism issue and admit that the main reason they have an issue with Dr. Kwetey having this position is because they are misogynistic, sexist men that don’t believe that women should be put in high positions. I can admit that perhaps the reason why she was considered is because she has relations with the general secretary however this doesn’t dispute the fact that she is more than qualified to get this position. Your arguments are baseless because her relation with the general secretary serves as a minor reason among a plethora of substantial reasons why she deserves the position. If you are a sexist, misogynist male with something degrading to say about an overqualified female, I suggest you take your opinions elsewhere.

  When Jennifer becomes smart enough to know when women started voting in Ghana compared to when they started voting in the West, she would appreciate and be proud of her society instead of learning and using words that only serve to divide our purpose and togetherness as a people.
  The same place where these hurtful words come from, enslaved your children, women and men and treated them as objects.
  Of course, there are problems that affects women in our society,but if you intend to weaponise your struggle to further oppress your men, then you will reap nothing.
  I see daily black women who are extremely bitter towards their men and it is sad because they are being used as a tool to destroy their own societies.
  
  Our chiefs govern with queens. Some places even have women as chiefs and leaders of their community.
  I have stopped fighting for women's rights because some lousy ones are capable of doing it themselves. Do you realise black men don't even fight for each other?

  How's this different from NPP's government officials accused of the same favoritism? She could have been in a responsible position somewhere before NDC's take over of affairs.
