    We assemble vehicles in Ghana. From luxury cars like the VW Touareg to cheaper ones like the Kia Picanto. Vehicle assembled in Ghana have no VAT, NHIL or Duty on them so what is this insistence on importing used cars?

    How can owing a car be luxury, it is a neccessity and these hyped fees and taxes ends up in the pockets of corupt custom officers and citizens.

    I do not see how depreciation is accounted for in taxation at the port.
    Tax reduction will be good for the populace and reduce shady deals.
