  Rashad Abdulai see how you were struggling to argue this matter. One doesn't need to be a lawyer to understand the issue at stake. If you look at Ken's suit and you are not just being diabolical you will realise that his whole issue is on search warrant. The security operatives that went to Ken's house claim they had search warrant so they should produce it in court. If they didn't have and they were lying, then they are in big trouble because we are governed by a constitution not what some security operatives think they can just get up and do because they are in power. Stop the needless argument you are disgracing yourself and just exposing yourself as an NDC who will never see anything wrong when something wrong is done. The Majority Leader ddidn;t apologise in Parliament for nothing, but his own NDC people warned him for apologising. Ken's action was long overdue, infact when l saw the videos of Richard Japka taking a pistol from their vehicle and putting it in his back whilst others are fully armed l was asking myself is that mother Ghana@68 years?

  For instance when caught a person who stole my money and put it in a bag, do I need a search warrant to search him or her.
  When I caught a person who want to put his own life in danger, do I need a search warrant to stop him from causing harm to himself or herself.
  For instance a sanitary inspector does not need a warrant to search for something that is causing odor in my house, that posses danger to the health of others.

  I am impressed with the article especially how the issues were argued by the author but I humbly disagree with most of his conclusions. Before a put fore my opinion let me first plead with readers on this platform to allow intellectual discourse on such matters not the usual insults and attacks.
  Yes security operatives are empowered by law to conduct searches on suspects but within a legal framework. What the author refused to recognise is that as we discuss this issue today, Mr Ofori Atta is not formally a subject of any criminal investigations by the National Security. Except the OSP who has indicated he is a suspect for an ongoing investigations no other state security has indicated it is conducting an investigations about his actions at the Ministry of Finance.
  Many a times, this hurried investigations are the reason why many criminals walk away with their loots. Just one mistake in the process of investigations can free a criminal in court. The court doesn't function like the Chief palace where a case of assault reported to the Chief can lead to a conviction for stealing. In fact, collecting evidence wrongly can lead to the court not accepting same as part of the proceedings. I wonder what purpose it serves the state security to do what they did. Where they going to search his house to look for documents or cash? This is like a child play, gather documentary evidence and after invite the person and hit him with the facts and see his reaction. The state mostly struggle to prosecute financial crime not because they never happened but weaknesses in how they gather such informations and how they are able to meet the legal requirements. Let's learn from past Mistakes and do right going forward. Remember the Ghana at 50 trial, it took only one nock out and the state had to give up. We should force state security to do right and we must also hold them to account if they mess up our cases.
