  It is also important to point out that Kotoka was a bloody, merciless, cold MURDERER. I specifically refer to the heinous murder of Major-General Charles Mohammed - in front of his wife and kids on the day of the coup by Kotoka. This despicable crime has gone undenounced for over half a century but we will not forget.
  
  To date the only memorial to General Barwuah is the dismal Tamale barracks of the GAF. Barwuah was a professional soldier's soldier. He fearlessly refused to join the plot against his Commander-in-Chief and was mercilessly executed by Kotoka on the spot. Barwah excelled during his training at Sandhurst, England winning several prizes. It is documented (google docs) that Kotoka was furious against Nkrumah for promoting General Barwah as Chief of Staff of the GAF purely because General Barwuah was a Northerner.
  
  It is also worth remembering and reminding the current President John Mahama, that his own father was imprisoned for over 2 years along with thousands of persons who either worked for the Nkrumah government or were members of the CPP. The Vice Chancelor of the KNUST, Professor R.P. Baffour, along with several academics and professionals, had to flee to distant lands because of the certain imprisonment and brutalities that awaited him at the hands of the so-called "Liberators."
  Yet Mahama refuses, due to the neocolonialist loyalties and subservience of the NDC, to rescind the illegal renaming of our national airport after the wicked, foreign-sponsored mercenary, Kotoka.
  
  In recent times in Liberia we witnessed sadly how depraved supporters of Charles Taylor's party chanted through the streets of Monrovia: "He kill my mother, he killed my father. I will still vote for him!" Is John Mahama chanting in his head : "He imprisoned my father, making my childhood painful. But I will still honour Kotoka!"

  Mr Arhin Otoo, your write up indicates that you were not born at the time of the coup so you never experienced Osagyefo,Kantamanto,Osuodumgya’s despotic rule,kindly visit Balme and Central Library and acquaint yourself with the history of the life and times of Nkrumah and you’ll know that Kotoka deserve the honour and more.Those projecting the name of Nkrumah do so for political expediency because their party has no legacy and are actively distancing themselves from the founder of their party for obvious reasons.
