It seems that as in the country called Ghana we have a very big problem that has been exacerbated by the wide political divide between NDC vs NPP with innocent bystander Ghanaians in the middle or sidelines. If we have practiced our democracy with the 1992 Constitution for 33 years year, why is it difficult for us to delineate between political office holders and the public service career workers? If we do this, only the political officeholders would lose their jobs due to a change of government instead of the current wholesale termination of appointments. Then also, we need to wrestle the CEOs & MDs appointment to the SOEs & other governmental institutions from the political hands to promote efficiency and those jobs going to only the best qualified on merit. Ghana, we have a long way to go.

Same with most boards. We are now having what we call board mafias.
Irrespective of which government comes to power, they make sure they have influence by getting their people on the board.
