In hindsight when Dr. Asiamah was leaving office, the Dollar to Cedi exchange rate stood at 1:4. The economy was in crisis with rampant dumsor and high unemployment and bank failures due to sudden shocks to the economy driven by goverment spending. To his credit the exchange rate was managed well but all other economic indicators were depressed. My hope is that this time around he together with the finance ministry will manage both monetary and fiscal policies better.
I hope Dr. Asiamah will be firm in enforcing the regulatory capital adequacy reequipments of banks. I pray this time around Dr. Asiamah will be vigilant to protect Ghanaians from financial predators. May almighty God be your helper.
Thx,
Nana Nyanor

No one is above the law and so James Asante you are being naive, political and tribalistic. The case against Dr Asiama was dropped for political reasons and NOT for any legal expediency. It is because Dr Asiama is a member of the NDC. The Bank of Ghana is a very higher institution in Ghana and therefore, we must have somebody with no corruptible past record to be at the helm. The Governor- per say-should abide the seven (7) principles of public life and that includes integrity and honesty as well as selflessness. Dr Asiamah has failed the honesty and integrity test and should resign-ASAP.
