The phone, which should have been made to be used for just the purpose for which it was invented, that is, to call, then to receive calls was where the manips began. That taught people that having the camera comes handy, hence the miniaturization of cameras that could be dissimulated in or like anything to capture secrets.
Cameras have been there since time immemorial. The invention of the camera is timeless.
It is recently during the advent of the mobile, portable phones that the engagement of the camera for the purpose of instant revelation and reportage changed for the worse.
