  BAWUMIA ,FOR EXAMPLE STATED THAT, FROM THE RESULTS THEY HAD RECEIVED SO FAR AND PROJECTIONS THEY HAD MADE, THE NDC HAD WON.
  BUT, IT IS THE DUTY OF EC TO DECLARE THE FULL RESULTS AND NOT PROJECTIONS. EC DECLARING INCOMPLETE RESULTS AND PROJECTIONS HAVE CASED SOME PROBLEM IN THE PAST. DONT FORGET . COME AGAIN, SIR?

  The parties don't have more "sophisticated" technology. they collate the results from the polling station results so it's direct and hasn't been tampered with

  Useless article. The workings of the EC are different from those of the parties. The EC needed to receve ALL or nearly all the reults from the signed pink sheets before they could declare any results. Both the NDC and NPP collated their own results, both were satisfied with what they obtained, and both reacted. That is not how the EC works. Idiot. If there was any delay, it was because of the useless violence at several constituency collating centers. How do you blame the EC for this? Go wey you.

  Ghana has Dr Bawumia to thank for his early concession.
  
  As you admitted that the EC does not need to have all the results before announcing the results of the presidential election as it did last night without results from 9 constituencies, it could have announced provisional results on Sunday using the same methods used by the political parties and spare the nation from the potential risk of unnecessary tension had Dr Bawumia not conceded very early on Sunday morning.

  How on earth does a contestant's simple concession speech without details 'shame' the electoral commission which is required by law, not only to announce the winner or loser but rather come out with detailed results? Did you hear Bawumia give any details of the results? Or would anyone have been satisfied if the EC Chair had simply come out to state that "according to the figures we've received so far, the NDC candidate, John Mahama has won?" Let's stop behaving as if this is the first time election results have been declared.
