When this corrupt supreme court of Ghana injuncted Gyakye Quayson, a serving MP of Assin North, the court said at the time Quayson filed with the EC to run for elections, everything (including the issue of allegiance) had kicked in, it was not for a future intention to be an MP. Now the same corrupt Nana justices are taking the opposite view that the 4 MPs that have vacated their seats in parliament by changing their political affiliations and filed with the EC are only declaring for a future election so their actions have not kicked in? What sort of mafia judiciary do we have in Ghana under NPP's Nana Addo? I thought Animguase Yeboah was a horrible and corrupt CJ but the NPP women organizer madam Getrocious Tookenoo is worse!

In face she went on retirement just after the Speaker and Afenyo Martin Supre Court issues. Akufo Addo has quickly nominated 2 Supreme Court Justices to be approved by parliament. This approval has been stalled because of NPP member Afenyo Markin stupid issue. Akufo Addo is greedy because he should go in peace to allow the next president to decide whether it is expedient to replace the outgoing judge.

The people he carelessly sacked from NPP had not officially resigned from NPP. Is it the duty of NDC to sack NPP members from the NPP party? Majority is won at the polling station not at the parliament. The Speaker has disgraced himself.

Speaker under siege, indeed! The author cannot be serious!
Our constitution itself declares that it is the responsibility of the judiciary to determine the proper interpretation of the former whenever the need arises. And if the judiciary's interpretation is in variance with the Speaker's declarations, then who cause am?

In fact, one does not need the Supreme Court's assistance to arrive at the conclusion that the provisions of Article 97 do not apply to MPs' decision in regard to future parliaments. Otherwise, MPs who lose their party primaries would have been deemed to have lost their seats directly after the primaries!

The three arms of government are themselves checks on one another. But being a check on one another does not mean that they work against one another. Rather, they work in concert to safeguard the total development and aspirations of the country. It is rather unfortunate that in our current dispensation, the Speaker belongs to the opposition party, and this particular Speaker's ego is being aided by the occasion of the split parliament we have had to endure these last four years. He does not even realize that the likelihood of retaining his place in the next parliament is not guaranteed!

Members of the opposition caucus are not helping matters. Rather than ensure that they send out a good campaign message to convince the electorate to bring them to power in the coming elections, they are wasting their time in trivialities such as grabbing their places among the majority seats; for all they know, they have no favor among the electorates which would ensure their victory come the December elections. For that matter, they will make hay now while their sun is still shining. With the favor they find in their 'own' Speaker, they will be delighted in becoming the majority in the couple of weeks before the end of the current parliament and accept their miserable fortune of being the helpless opposition caucus for another 8 years! Who can blame them?

Nobody is experiencing any test of Ghana's democracy. Only warped minds lay claim to any such conditions! But or country stands strong and will be for ever! Away with the nation wreckers! Imagine someone calling on the army to be on stand by all because Bagbin did not have his crooked way! All these are sure signs that the nation wreckers have lost the plot. Their only hope is to cause as much instability in the country, so that some disoriented souls would take up arms against the people - that is their only hope of coming to power again! but their machinations will never see the daylight!
