This is typical of NDC ... always rushing to make decisions without carefully analyzing the whole context of the law. NDC didn't challenge Mike Ocquaye when he did similar act.

Sometimes I wonder if npp members think they know more than others. The fact that NDC MPs did not challenge mike oquaye does not make him correct. The constitution is very clear if the affected MPs do not agree with the constitution they can go to the high court. This has not been done. Markin illegally went to the supreme court even before the speaker brought it up, knowing fully well the supreme court is stacked with npp stooges. We have to find a way of removing these stooges from the supreme court and bring in people of integrity.

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?,DONT BE SURPRISE OF THE DECISION OF THE SPEAKER OF PARLIAMENT.THIS IS A HUNG PARLIAMENT WHERE THE SPEAKER IS FROM THE OPPOSITION SIDE;A HAVE NOT SEEN OR HEARD OF THIS SITUATION IN THE WHOLE OF DEMOCRACTIC WORLD OF POLITICS.THAT THE OPPOSITION MEMBER IS THE PERSON WHO HOLDS THE GAVELTO DECIDE WHAT COMES TO THE FLOOR.THIS DYSFUNCTION OF PARLIAMENT IS THE REASON GHANA IS AT A STANSTILL BECAUSE THE GOVERNING PARTY CAN NOT PUT ITS POLICIES THROUGH.I HOPE THAT IN THE COMING ELECTIONS THE VOTERS WOULD GIVE A SOUNDING LANDSLIDE VICTORY TO THE PARTY THEY TRULY WISH CAN BRING THIS COUNTRY FORWARD RATHER THAN A STANDSTILL.

What do you expect when this constitution was drafted under military rule when hairdressers were consulted? There are grey areas which calls for a total review of the constitution. I guess by now, the NDC have cool down to let the laws work. Again, why did it take them so long to take this action few weeks to the election?

U think The Law is What U twist it to be??
... If the Law says I shall have a lawyer of my choice when I am arrested and I make reference to the provision and tell the Policeman that this is what the law says so I have to get a Lawyer..have I assumed the Role of the Supreme Court????
The Role of the Supreme Court Under Article 130 is to give a finality on the interpretation of provisions where THERE APPEARS TO BE AMBIGUITY OF A PROVISION...not when One party merely disagrees with another on a matter.....
Imagine the number of Irrelevant cases that will be brought before the court....De Minimis non cural lex.
Where there is a Specific Provision in the Constitution to deal with a matter You apply it to resolve the matter... You don't go under Article 130 under the Pretext of seeking for interpretation...
Interpret what??? Something as Clear as Article 97..
A constitutional provision is not subject to interpretation by the Supreme Court merely because one party has a selfish interest or desire for it to Mean what they want it to mean...
What the Speaker did never amounts to a USURPATION
OF THE SUPREME COURT' S AUTHORITY OR MANDATE to interpret the constitution.....
Let us Stop the Misinformation and miseducation..
It does no Good to the Law
The Chief Justice is in bed with the President and it is so conspicuous....
