  It is not only in Ghana that health workers go on strike.
  It is a fact that there has been several strikes by health workers during the P/NDC days.
  So now we are being told by Manasseh Azure that when NPP is in power health workers cannot go on strike.
  That is his partisan position as a supporter of NPP, and that is his partisan political position on the issue.
  The fact is that health workers always go on strike not only in Ghana but other countries, including some advance ones.
  When I was a Labour Officer, I happen to cover and report on a strike-demonstration by nurses which took place at the Ministry of Health in 1995 when Commander Obimpeh was the then Minister of Health.
  That particular demonstration was nasty, that some of the nurses raised up their uniform and underwear to show their pants to the minister.
  Those nurses would have been charged of indecent behaviour and imprisoned if those strike-demonstrations were to have taken place today under the obnoxious government of Nana Akufo-Addo.

  How do they allow one person to hijack the association. A president of an association is the spokesman, first of all. he speaks for the group after a resolution has been reached. Unless the other executive members do not know their powers or roles, then they should better educate themselves.

  Menasseh should note that the Ghana Medical Association is not made up of hooligans and lunatics, it is made up of sensible people. You can't declare a useless strike and expect doctors to join to endanger the lives of innoce ...
