When the white man first appeared on our soil, they claimed they were here for partnership. They were here to help us develop. In the twinkle of an eye, they showed their true colours. They started plundering our resources - even human resources. For about 400 years plus, Africa suffered indignity and all, with no worthy return.
We are gradually trying to throw off this yoke of oppression under the West! Then the East start sweet talking us into another partnership! Can't our leaders think small, small? If we open our shores to the Chinese, we must know that for the next 400 years, our continent will at best hang dangling on our own noose.
We must not ignore the inhuman treatment some villages are suffering under the few Chinese who have penetrated our hinterland! We hear that in places far from Accra and Kumasi, these Chinese are flagrantly killing our people who raise their voices over the pollution of our forests and water bodies. Chinese lands cannot contain the huge population. So they are trying to find fresh land to extend their territory. Do we ever hope that even after the next four hundred years, the Chinese we are inviting to our continent now would be prepared to leave the comfort of our shores? No! Never!
Let us think of our generations yet unborn and refuse to be bought so easily. Our water bodies are crying for redemption from the criminal activities of these Chinese galamsayers. Let us be bold and tell them that we can not be twice foolish! Enough is enough!
