  Bawumia is not an economist per say! He is a statistician with basic economics knowledge! He could not excel much because he tried to solve the economic problems of the country! Akuffo-Addo realised this too late and also because Ofori-Atta and other stakeholders who engineered his (Akkufo-Addo's) 2016 electoral victory with their funding and control pushed him (Bawumia) out of the control of the national economic affairs. Bawumia's only tools are Mathematics and statistics, so that is why he dodged and buried himself in the rising ITC sector and tried to own it! Those who really were making very good impact on the economy, the likes of Dr. Anthony Akoto Osei were relegated to the corner and the Akyem mafia took over to plunge the country into the mess the country is in now. A level 100 student of economy could have managed the economy better as Bawumia, and the Akyem mafia only has looting of state coffers in mind!Kwesi Pratt is right, if Akkufo-Addo's NPP had read and understood Bawumia's Phd. thesis, he wouldn't have been presented as the "economic whizkid" !
