Complete rubbish. Your article doesn't deny the fact that Acheampong used his political position and influence to engage in his looting of the SSNIT assets. You also mention ten persons who entered politics while operating private businesses. No one is accusing Acheampong of being a politician while running businesses., and you know it. Mentioning those ten politicians in other countries fails to also state those ten politicians were never accused of using their political office or influence to quietly loot government assets. Ablakwa is not engaged in selective character assassination, Ablakwa ids exposing crooked dealings by a politician who uses his political position and influence to acquire government properties and assets. Apparently, you don't believe in good governance, for if you did, you would not be falsely accusing Ablakwa of selective character assassination when he is merely doing what the public expects its elected officials to do: keep the public informed whenever that elected official becomes aware of government officials and others unjustly profiting themselves at the expense of the people of Ghana. Ablakwa has not abused any information, nor is he engaged in any selective character assassination. It's only selective character assassination to you because the you and Acheampong just can't stomach the revelations coming out about Acheampong's dealings that clearly fail the ethics litmus test.

Your article also is very misleading, for nowhere is Ablakwa out against politicians owning businesses. For a person who claims Ablakwa is on a path of selective character assassination, your attempt to paint a negative and false painting of Ablakwa by trying to convince your readers that Ablakwa's actions are tantamount to being against politicians engaging in business is not only misleading but patently false. Nowhere in article have you demonstrated that Ablakwa has any time stated any disapproval of Ghana politicians engaging in business. You can't employ falsehood to falsely claim that Ablakwa is against Ghana politicians engaging in business. All Ablakwa has done is expose the unethical actions of Acheampong in acquiring government assets and properties. And isn't strange that Acheampong admits to being the owner Rock City that is involved in these government assets acquisitions, yet claims he has no hand in the dealings of Rock City in acquiring those government assets. Exposing corrupt and crooked dealing =s by a politician is neither character assassination nor abuse of information.

This is indeed selective character assassination because Ablakwa's motive was to smear Bryan Acheampong with dirt. The mere fact that he didn't do his due diligence before coming to accuse Bryan with half-truths, indicates his true intention. Why didn't Ablakwa start from his own party, NDC, who under Rawlings sold almost all state-owned companies to mostly NDC members including his wife Nana Konadu Agyemang. Why didn't he start with the Ahwois who have holdings in some state-owned ventures? And why is it that, all his targets are NPP people or sympathizers? People would've taken him serious if he wasn't bias in his approach. If a Ghanaian has what it takes to contribute to the development of the country, why should he be denied simply because he's a public servant? Bryan Acheampong, single-handedly, has built the biggest hotel in Africa with over 700 rooms. Wisdom teaches us that people like Bryan are national assets whose contributions should be coveted instead of criticized. After all, he's a Ghanaian whose involvement with SSNIT will benefit every Ghanaian. Ablakwa will prefer a foreigner to buy 60% shares of the 4 SSNIT hotels instead of a Ghanaian. ONLY IN AFRICA THAT WE PUT PARTISAN INTERESTS ABOVE NATIONAL DEVELOPMENTS. NPP GOVERNMENT HAS ALWAYS BEEN ENCOURAGING PATNERSHIP WITH THE PRIVATE SECTOR TO PROPEL NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT. THIS MOVE BY SSNIT IS CONSISTENT WITH THE AGENDA OF THE NPP GOVERNMENT. UNLIKE NDC WHO SOLD THE MAJORITY SHARES OF THE TEMA HARBOR TO A FRENCH BILLIONAIRE. SHAME ON NDC AND THEY WILL REMAIN IN OPPOSITION FOR A VERY LONG TIME.

Crooked politicians looting government assets isn't the same as building the nation. Since you claim Acheampong has built the biggest hotel in Africa, why not also be transparent and have Acheampong disclose his last tax filing in the USA before he returned to Ghana, and his first tax filing in Ghana. That should show how dishonest looters can be when hiding behind the scenes and using political connections to rip off Ghana. If Acheampong were operating honestly, he would not now be claiming that he had nothing to do with the questionable SSNIT transactions, even though he admits he owns the company that engaged in those transactions. This is the same corrupt game that NPP has used in turning political crooks like Ken Agyapong and Freddie Blay into multi-millionaires through looting of Ghana government assets and improper awards of lucrative government contracts.
