A few years ago Ken Agyapong, on TV, made a confession about how he talked the most corrupt institution in the country, the Ghana Police Administration, into giving him 1000 (One Thousand) slots to feed into the police service behind the curtains, his families and cronies.
That means so many things but the deduction we got from it was, some of those people must be uneducated, thieves or any kind of undisciplined person who entered the police force unvetted.
Agyapong, using the occasion offered by the TV and in anticipation, invited the Armed Forces to accept the same kind of deal giving him another thousand slots.
Somewhere last year, this same Agyapong said Kufuor as president used to accept and employ people he (Agyapong) recommended to him, the president. From this it is obvious, that just him alone was able to feed into the Ghanaian workforce several thousands of unqualified Ghanaians leaving university graduates to whom these positions should have gone, in desolation. Now, extend this favor to so many other NPP stalwarts and also goons and see how many slots are open to the public, if any at all.
One can glean from the above that, we'd have very irresponsible, uncivilized and uncouth officers everywhere, who'd lack respect for their own administrations because fools like Agyapong would be there towering/threatening managements and impeding lawful day to day administration and management of institutions.
When the Armed Forces denounced Agyapong's incredible invitation and qualified it as interaction in their normal duties, Agyapong raised insults and unprintable expletives on the public relations officer.
If Governments allow irresponsible idiots of the ilk of Agyapong to dictate rules to state institutions, what kind of officers do we expect in the country? It is because of the likes of Agyapong that we have rotten security institutions.
Last two years, I had information protocol intake into the Immigration Service, where over 10000 Cedis were taken from candidates apart from the University graduate prerequisite, was ran from Bawumia's office.
The person from whom this apparently filtered was an MP who himself tried to push someone into the Immigration and failed in his bid.
