Had we Africans not sold our fellow citizens to the Europeans for useless European alcohol, European candies, cloth, clothes and cheap guns, we would not today be hypocritically celebrating what we term Emancipation Day. What use is Emancipation Day when the evil deeds and actions of our ancestors are not taught in elementary and high schools to ensure that these children grow up understanding what led to the enslavement of others. Too much emphasis on tourism aspect of slavery, but little emphasis on educating school kids all year round about the evil aspects of that trade.

Emancipation Day is of no significance in Ghana; it's irrelevant. Because there's no emancipation in Ghana when people are still so primitive to the heights and depths of voting Akufo-Addo a president despite knowing he's criminal.
Go, ask at random any person (non politician) on the streets anywhere in Ghana how many times they feed, and you'd understand what emaciation is.
Akufo-Addo and Bawumia foist new body-mass-index on the citizens, where finding food (let alone rent) is like living on a rock.
A solemn reflection? What the hell!
