It is disturbing to note that, as elite as Okuapemman School is, the nature of its roads continually to worsen day by day. For over a decade, and this situation has not been considered. This is not a pleasant situation for this elite school, particularly the students, teachers, structures and other important facilities of the school. Where is the leadership of Okuapemman? where is that of the Akuapem Traditional Council, that of the district and municipal chief executives, Old Students, and overall, where is the leadership of the government?? This is unacceptable!!!

It's quite unfortunate for the road network of this unique second cycle institution to be in a deplorable state. We therefore call on relevant stakeholders to join hands in addressing the plight of the school especially in this era when the global development goal (SDG 4) seeks to promote inclusive, equitable, quality and lifelong learning opportunities for all. Addressing this challenge of the school would not only improve the health conditions of the school but also places the country strongly on the global map of enhancing inclusive education as Okuapemman School is among the few institutions of inclusive education in the country.

Many out there who aren't even past students will undoubtedly be willing to contribute if the fundraising appeals to the general public instead of being limited to past students of the school. Set a target amount to reach, after consulting potential road builders to obtain construction estimates, and a date of possible start on construction. It may take a year or two raise the funds, but definitely worth doing.
