One doesn't cut off a hand that is in pain, one seeks medical assistance to address that problem. Privatization of the ECG and other poorly performing agencies isn't the answer. Rather, the public should continue to demand accountability and better performance from the ECG. The public should not continue to take useless excuses from political stooges appointed to run these agencies. Besides, calls for privatization at this hour smacks of an attempt for this corrupt government to unload the ECG and others to its supporters who will then form veiled corporations to scoop up the agencies.

They intentionally work down public institutions, set up with public money then cleverly point out how this animal jumps high in other countries like factors in Ghana are exact mirrors of those sometimes arm twisting nations.
Energy is security. We have travelled this journey many times only to see our own few get extremely rich not because they are politicians, powerful and well connected but because they tell us, they are smart, and hardworking, what a fallacy.
When the foreign companies takeover, just like Ghana telecom, we get a large initial sum of cash which immediately goes to top up the foreign accounts of the owners of Ghana and their foreign collaborators.
How did we come to this inspite of a long trail of historical warnings from Ghana Empire till date.
Ghanaian workers are some of the most hardworking people on earth when they leave the shores of Ghana.
I have had many say all kinds of tales but truth is, no one works hard in the land of his birth without,
1. Seeing his harwork destroyed and benefit going to a few.
2. Poorly paid even lucky to be paid online and yet constantly accused of laziness.
The Sun, makes the Ghana at home easily tired. Clever leaders would device ways to utilise worker efficiency in the face of mother nature's demands.
Sacrifice from the misleaders would help greatly if like India, Ghanaians see leaders sometimes using public transport or cycling to work or in less luxurious V8s whiles they labour for Ghana just to lie their heads at night in kiosks and unsafe high rented homes.
It is time we love our Motherland small.
It is time we live by the tenets of our national anthem and pledge ourselves to be faithful and honest to Ghana our Motherland.
God bless you all, God bless Ghana.

I am resisting the temptation to sound angry but don't you think it is time we sold the Jubilee House because the leaders who would be seeking Ghanaian votes very soon, tell us they pledge to make Ghana a paradise only to exchange the little sow treasures for their comfort and health by the time of their departure.
Some come to office with nothing and go home with over plenty.
Some come to office almost in their coffins and go home strong as athletes.
It is time for the leaders to sacrifice small for Ghana to grow and change in an ever unsecured and dangerous world.
