The state is a dictatorship of one group of people known as a class over other classes. In the United States of America its the dictatorship of the multinational corporations and other rich people over the proletariat.
Thus in the U.S. the constitution banned the communist and socialist parties from representing the proletariat in the Senate and Congress.
The ruse about democracy in the US is "government for the people, by the people".
But wait, one need millions of dollars to campaign to be in congress and senate.
About 99% of US citizens don't have millions of dollars to campaign in order to get to parliament to represent those who are not billionaires and millionaires.
Thus the state in the US is a dictatorship of the billionaires, millionaires, multinational corporations, representing arms manufacturers and others.
Since 1991 after the collapse of socialism in the former socialist countries of Eastern Europe, I for instance have not read the magazine "The Communist" that represent the voice of millions of exploited in the US.
Moreover, apart from Georgia, Russia and Ukraine, all the other socialist countries of Eastern Europe that bought and distribute the magazine "The Communist" are now all members of NATO that are anti-democratic, because by virtue of they being members of NATO, they supported the neocolonial expansionist policies of the US.
A policy that the Russian President Vladimir Putin called the colour revolutions, which has the aim of bringing down all governments that are not controlled by NATO and their allies down.
It's a policy that targets nation that have made socioeconomic developments with some ruse of dictatorship, arms of mass destruction and ethnic cleansing.
One must understand that years before the US and her allies attack a country under any ruse of provocation, it's the western press that create the ground for such invasion and attack.
Any person who opposes such neocolonial policies quickly become the target of the western "democratic" press their presidents and prime ministers.
Thus western countries are a herd or mob, thus don't qualify to be called societies.
Let's ask ourselves why some Europeans are demonstrating against the Russian special military operation in the Ukraine which started in the February of 2022 but are not opposed to U.S. and her allies occupation of Afghanistan, Iraq, Yugoslavia, Syria, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Yemen and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
We all witnessed students who supported the self determination and independence of the Arab people of Palestine were dismissed from several US and Western European universities.
In Ghana we had the government of the Progress Party (PP) led by Professor Kofi Abrefa Busia banning all socialist and communist literatures.
It was a crime punishable by years of imprisonment if you are caught reading socialist, communist and books written by Kwame Nkrumah.
Some ministers in the PP government use to make the false statement that the novel "Animal Farm" by Owen was banned in the Soviet Union and other socialist countries.
I happen to read the "Animal Farm" in the library of the Patrice Lumumba Friendship University, Moscow and the foreign literature lecturer analyzed it in the class.
The government of Liman happen to be some liberal, not so much capitalist and socialist and was not liked by both the capitalist and socialist in Ghana.
Thus, the problem with Liman was that he pursued a centrist policy.

I am getting the idea from you that you believe that democracy in Western countries is an excuse for neocolonialism rather than actual democratic governments. However, what I cannot discern from you is if you believe that a dictatorship would be preferable to a democracy in rooting out corruption; Perhaps you believe that the free press is not very free, and is used by the rich to hide the inequalities and their harmful actions.
Though I cannot fully understand your argument, I would like to dispell some mistruths or poor arguments you have spoken. Firstly, communist and socialist parties are not banned in the United States.
I would argue that, all elected positions in the US are heavily influenced by the 1%/multinational corporations in such through lobbying and corruption, but the executive office, the president, is a position rooted in the citizens, even if the press which is very biased is heavily swayed by the rich.
Additionally, I would argue that the general mood towards "neocolonialism" in the US and many western countries is apathy, rather than support. Many voters are not aware or do not care for what happens thousands of kilometers/miles away in Africa or Asia. Additionally, the coloured revolutions which took place in many of the post-Soviet states were completely justified in their intents to root out oligarchs, corruption, and Russian influence. Russia's response to these revolutions was bloody and needless aggression, and in Georgia and Ukraine they invaded to protect their interests under their own false justifications similar to the west, such as, "ethnic cleansing." I would argue that, Russia and the West have all had neo-colonial interests in Africa, do we need to forget that Russia colonized the people of Central Asia and Eastern Europe, aligning themselves with the Axis in 1939 and aiding in killings of millions of Muslims following Ottoman collapse?
No, they are two sides of the same coin, if Africa chooses to align itself with Russia over fears of the West's neocolonial interests it will only lead to further destabilization, Western intervention, corruption, and reliance on Russia/China.
Again, I would argue that the reason that many Europeans and Americans protest the Russian invasion and not wars/neocolonialist policies in the developing world is due to apathy, the mainstream media focuses on what is close to home, and easy to defend. Unfortunately, it's not a good look if you're criticizing the president which your network supported over anything.
However, there is a glimpse of hope, more than ever, Americans and Europeans are more enlightened then ever into the strife faced by many of these countries due to the rise of social media and internet-activism. The tide is quickly changing among the young especially; Hopefully, America and the West take the opportunity to reform their governments, educate their citizens on media and bias, and restructure the relationship with Africa so that it is mutually beneficial.
It is important to remember that, because of this reasoning, not in spite of it, it would be counterintuitive to avoid working with the west and to work with its adversaries. The real solution lies in change in the West, and strengthening of Africa's internal politics. From my experiences, African unity is not so, it is hate for the west, instead of love for African propserity.
