Serious blunder on the part of JM and NDC. He should have chosen a person who is dynamic to lead the party after JM 4 years in power. Jane is an academician but not a politician who can lead the party. It is sad that NDC is causing their own downfall. Time will tell.

Anyone may be a fool to think that Ghanaians care about integrity and would want Jane to cover up the corruption proven in John Mahama. If they do, then NDC would have voted for John Mahama and NPP would have also voted for Kennedy Agyapong. You are out of your mind your so-called high-education with no ability to reason and solve societal problems but to join politics and amass wealth with greed from innocent poor Ghanaians who are struggling for mere survival.

What I know is that homo sapiens are political animals, so to say that a person who teaches a subject the university is not a political animal, means to say that Jane has just been born and had not experience that all adult beings have.
Man is a political animal, in the first place and a person who thought or is teaching in any university, especially in the humanities, knows better about human behaviour.

A politician who sees the world through a narrow peephole can't see as much as one who who is able to view the world through a wide open window. Now that Mahama has caved into the likes of Bridget Otoo, Joyce Mogtari and a few others in the NDC, the same group that sat silent while the NPP and the Duffuor group were banding together to deny him the flagbearer position, hopefully he'll have those same people to help him fight his battle going forward. A pragmatic politician should not be acting to soothe egos but rather but rather act on what's in the best interest of both the party and the nation. A pragmatic leader does not just look at the fact that the incumbent government is in deep trouble, hence his winning the current race is all that matters and that there's no need to plan today for the party's journey after four years, assuming the party wins the election this year. He has picked a mate who at the end of four years would be 76 years old, and one who clearly has no strong base to call upon if made the party's new flagbearer. Too many in the NDC are taking things for granted just because of the public's dissatisfaction with this government's abysmal performance. Truth is, the NPP has a strong base around the country, and can easily recoup with a strong flagbearer four years from now if it fails to win this year. That's when the NDC will begin to wish it had planned beyond four years, as it will very likely see itself moon-dancing back into opposition after 2029, if it wins the election this year. Wise leaders always surround themselves with energetic, wise and visionary advisers, not just a bunch of noise-making mouths with only paper degrees decorating their walls. A leader should not only be about what the party can do to get that leader to victory today, but also about how choices made today by that leader will impact that party in the coming years, knowing that four years go by so fast and the battle gets fought anew.
