Hmm, I'm trying to believe, which party was article tends to support. In my candid opinion, this article has done a disservice to the NDC party, based on the following reasons.
1. NDC as a political party does not believe and understand the concepts of building factories, a typical example is the Komenda sugar factory and Kumasi shoe factory, or because those factories' spelling start with "K"
2. Most of the factories built under the First President of Ghana, were about 95% sold under the PNDC/NDC regime to friends and family, is those factories under IDF fate not determined already under the NDC government if they are allowed to come into office again?
3. Not a single member of NDC or the party flag bearer, believed in the concepts of IDF, so how then does IDF become a building block for a "24-hour economy" to be honest with you, NDC as a party has never believed in IDF existence.
4. Finally, this write-up clearly shows that NDC as a party either doesn't understand the "24 hour economy" or it comes as a surprise to them and it happens to sound nice in the ears of the educated illiterate so they must push this through. The concept of 24-hour economy is true, but under NDC it's another create loot and share repack this time round not from the members of the but it's going to be executed by the president himself.

I don't think 24 hour economy is seeking to build upon the 1D1F policy. Whilst the goal of 1D1F is to industrialize the economy and move it from dependence on agriculture as the main sector supporting the economy. What the 24 hour proposers fail to understand is that, Ghana is not an industrialize nation where 24 hour economy is practiced. These industrialize economies have demands to meet so by working around the clock with 3 shifts, they are able to increase productivity and supply. On the other hand, employment in Ghana is made up of 49% in service sector, agriculture 30% and industry 21%. These are the statistics as of 2019. Majority of the workers in the service and agriculture sectors are privately owned. So how are they going to employ workers to do 3 shifts. This tells you that Mahama didn't think this policy through before he spoke about it. That's the reason why they can't explain it because the STATS don't support it.

IT IS THE SIZE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS OR CONSUMERS THAT DETERMINES A PARTICULAR FACTORY, COMPANY, ORGANIZATION, OR DEPARTMENT MUST WORK 24 HOURS. WILL THE ACCRA MALL OPERATE A 24-HOUR SHIFT IF THERE ARE NO CUSTOMERS TO BUY THEIR GOODS? GIVE MAKOLA SHOP OWNERS FREE ELECTRICITY AND WATER IF THERE ARE NO PEOPLE TO BUY THEIR GOODS NO ONE WILL OPEN HIS OR HER SHOP. NDC MUST THINK WE TOLD YPU JM IS A DRUNKARD NOTHING IN HIS BAOBAB FRUIT HEAD.
