Is Justice Kpegah mentally Sound?

Having read a press release by Former Supreme Court judge, Justice F.Y. Kpegah, on Ghanaweb under its General News of Tuesday, 14 May 2013, entitled, "Kpegah accuses CJ, Bar of conspiring against him", only one thing comes to mind. One is persuaded to believe Justice Kpegah is going mental.

All his statements made in that release point to the direction of someone losing his mental faculties. It is clearly a clarion call for help to save him from going completely mad. I hope his family, relatives, his internet agents and assigns, as well as his unknown employers will see him as suffering from some sort of mental, but not only physical, deterioration. They should arrange both psychologists and psychiatrists to examine his mental health.

Of all the various statements made in that press release, all of which point in the direction of the man losing the plot, one of them attracted my attention most. He said, “The thriller in Manila is still on, and I am determined to see it to its logical conclusion. The world will one day remember me as an upright man who against all odds maintained that professional ethics should not be sacrificed for the convenience of one man". I find this statement as the last straw that broke the camel's back. My White legal brains cannot help but laugh their heads off. They all agree with me that the old man is losing his gumption.

Let me explain why we claim he is not 100% up there in his brain. A person who upholds the ethics of the law profession has for so many years been aware of the rot in perpetuation by certain of his colleagues but keeps his silence until now. How honest and ethical is such a person? Has he not been faulted by his own statement? He claims to be aware of Nana Akufo Addo impersonating one W.A.D. Akufo Addo since when only God knows. He also claims knowledge of human remains buried under controversial circumstances and in an inexplicable position in the offices of Nana Akufo Addo's Law Firm in Accra. He knew of all these image criminal commissions that constitute violations but kept silence. Is this person ethical as he claims? Is it not only a fool that will take Kpegah by his words?

He is now biting more than he can chew. He is accusing the Chief Justice of connivance to commit crime. He is accusing the entire Legal Fraternity of various crimes, the exposure of which will blemish their reputation and cast a permanent cloud of doubt over their integrity. He is the only genuine and honest one among the entire lawyers in Ghana. What would happen if he was not honest judging from his knowledge of all the crimes his colleagues have been committing with impunity while he overlooked them?

It is for his acclaimed knowledge of all the purported ongoing ills with intentional unwillingness to expose them that makes my White legal brains and all discerning Ghanaians conclude the man is sick in the mind hence, needing urgent neurological treatment.

I pray his family members heed my warning before it becomes "had I known". Once the harm is done, it cannot be reversed. He can continue to die a fool if he wants to. Even a fool knows that Kpegah is a rented person doing a dirty job for President Mahama and the NDC. This being the situation, he will die a big fool.

When you grow, you become wiser but that is not the case with Justice Kpegah. As he grows older, he seems to become more stupid. He is defying the convention - "Old age is an indication of wisdom" I feel sorry for him. I shall accord him sympathy rather than castigation because he is mentally disabled. He has threatened to bring down the entire lawyers in Ghana with him if they did not allow him to beat Nana Akufo Addo black and blue in the court arena. What a miserable sod!
