Member of Parliament for Ellembelle Constituency, Mr. Emmanuel Armah Kofi-Buah has called on all the local companies operating within his area to support the district through the District Health Directorate to beef up the emergency preparedness of health facilities to ensure the safety of the communities within the district and beyond.

He made this statement when Meridian Logistics Company operating in the district presented Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and other items to the Ellembele District Health Directorate in response to an earlier letter written to the company to solicit support for the district.

The MP had earlier written to (Adamus, BCM), Ghana Gas, Eni, Meridian Logistics and Engineering and Quantum Terminals.

Meridian Logistics and Engineering is on record as the first company to have responded with the following Items;

77 Veronica buckets, 200ml hand sanitizers (154 pcs), 4.5ltr hand sanitizers (2 pcs), 16 infrared
thermometers, 8 cartons of hand gloves and 70 packs of nose mask.

The District Health Director of Ellembelle, Dr. Augustine Amoako thanked Meridian Logistics Engineering for their prompt response and assured the company that the items would be used in the COVID-19 fight.

He also thanked the MP for paying for the cost of transporting the items to Ellembelle from Accra in addition to his efforts and unflinching support in the fight against the outbreak.
