Popular broadcaster and sports event entrepreneur Yaw Sakyi returns on TV screens with “Your Take” on Diaspora Network Television (DNT), a satellite station located at East Legon.

This show features important trending issues in politics, sports, entertainment, social and business. The interactive show will allow viewers to have their take on important issues raised by the host via phone in and messages to their social media pages

For many years, he hosted arguably the best entertainment show in Ghana as millions of Ghanaians will not miss The Rundown with Yaw Sakyi on TV Africa every Wednesday at 8.30 pm- 9.30 pm.

He is witty, very sarcastic sometimes, has a burst of funny and sometimes annoying laughter and knows how to carry his viewers along during his conversations with his guests. He was largely the face of TV Africa when he hosted The Rundown Show from 2006- 2014.

In June 2014, he made a shocking return to TV3 where he hosted a Saturday late night show called MOONLIGHT with Nana Aba Anamoah and Marian in 2005. Known for basketball development and promotion, Yaw Sakyi returned to TV3 to produce and host a basketball show called COURTSIDE which featured highlights of NBA Games and local basketball activities.

When TV3 lost the NBA Rights to KWESE in late 2006, Yaw Sakyi was engaged by KWESE TV (former Viasat1) to continue what he had started on TV3. The new basketball show was called COURTSIDE which started in November 2016. KWESE’s rights to the NBA expired and so Yaw Sakyi re-introduced The Rundown Show which saw the likes of Obrafour, Wanluv, Joey B, Okyeame Kwame, Ebony, etc making appearances on the show. The station went through a rough phase leading to the suspension of all programs.

Yaw Sakyi doubles as the General Manager at DNT, a station that focuses on highlighting news and events concerning Ghanaians and Africans in the Diaspora and also serving as a reference point for credible news from Ghana. “Ghanaians in the diaspora contribute so much to Ghana’s economy and so deserve to be heard and supported and that’s what DNT advocates for”, Yaw Sakyi said.
