As Ghana and other countries mark Mother's Day today, some key personalities in the entertainment industry have taken to social media to celebrate and express their profound gratitude to their mothers.

Heart-warming messages have poured out to mothers who have played key roles in the lives of these persons that the country celebrates today.

With some describing this year's celebrations as the “Virtual Mother’s Day”, what better way can one express their love. In Ghana, mothers are considered very revered, and ‘their day’ has gained great popularity over the years.

With the ban on public gathering, one might not be able to give their mother that special treatment during this Coronavirus crisis but you might as well celebrate her by penning down a special message to her. Although words might not be enough to say thank you, mothers deserve to be celebrated whether dead or alive.

Musician and songwriter Akwaboah celebrated her mother on Instagram with these words, “My mama is the best mum in the world. Happy Mother’s Day Akua Asantewaa, I love you and God bless you”.

Ghana’s Talk Show Host, Deloris Frimpong Manso has also marked the day with an emotional message to her mother of blessed memory, she wrote, “Mama, I miss you every day especially today! I'm putting in my sweat, tears and blood just to make you proud someday. Happy Mother’s Day! RIP”
