#Behindthehitz: Appietus clashes with Jay Q with back to back hits

Yesterday, music lovers were taken down memory lane as two of Ghana’s biggest sound engineers played back to back hits from their old songs.

Often when people talk about music, sound engineers do not get recognition, instead, the musician and DJ's who play and perform the song rather get recognition.

However, in a bid to celebrate the real men behind the beats that made the hits, Ghana’s fastest rapper, Sarkodie innovatively started a trend known as #BehindTheHitz.

The hashtag has gone viral with many talking about it and discovering things they’ve never seen before.

#BehindTheHitz has given recognition to a number of old sound engineers notable among them are Hammer, Kaywa, Appietus, Jay-Q, Posigee among others.

Some social media followers were shocked to see the brain behind all the bottle breaking sounds, Jay-Q for the first time.

The sound engineer who is currently based abroad challenged his colleague in the business, Appietus ‘In the Mix’ as they took fans memory lane on Instagram live playing back to back hits from music they either engineered or mastered.

The duo did not disappoint playing tracks from Buk Bak, Castro, VIP among others.
