Cantus GH’s inaugural concert and maiden album launched

Fast rising Choral Group, Cantus GH held an inaugural concert and a maiden Album Launch in Accra over the weekend on Sunday 5th May, 2019.

The event got guests such as James Varrick Armaah, Executive Director of Harmonious Chorale, Mr. Carl Sackey, Product Development Manager at GCNET, Dr. Albert Adusei Dua, a composer, a great organist and a Doctor at profession in attendance as well several other patrons to support the occasion.

Despite being new to the frontiers the choir can boast of having renowned musicians such as former members of Harmonious Chorale, Ben Adjei and Eddie Gaisie, Desire Siehou among a few others. Cantus Ghana can also boast of having a numerical strength of 55.

The choir was formed to give Glory to God, to minister God’s words through music to people and to educate and entertain audiences through periodical musical concerts.

Performances were by Heavenly Jewels Chorale, individual talents display by members from “Cantus Ghana Talents”, Maestro Sando Sylla , and the host Choir itself while Young Chorale Ghana beautifully ended the concert with medley of songs.

The event saw beautiful and thankful performances such as “Din Jesus”, “Lord I lift Mine Eyes”, “Holy Art Thou” among others.

Cantus GH. is an inter denominational and a non-Political Choral group based in Accra, Ghana formed under the directorship of Mr. George Edzie, formerly of Harmonious Chorale. The choir was formed with great support from Dr. Albert Adusei Dua, Desire Siehou, Richmond Anaman, Richard Turkson, Sebastian Dakey, Timothy Mohenu and David Nana Akomea Botchway.



Mr. Carl Sackey, Product Development Manager at GCNET who was the chairman for the Inaugural Concert and a few others were impressed about the performance of Cantus Ghana.

The choir also launched its first album titled “Amazing Love” which has a total of 11 tracks on it and sung a few songs from the Album’s CDs auctioned on the day of the inauguration.
