Obrafour explains why his radio show never aired

Hiplife artiste, Obrafour was billed to host Power Breakfast Show on Kumasi-based Metro FM two years ago but to the disappointment of many, the show never came off.

As ears itched for reasons behind the failure, the ‘executioner’ has finally disclosed that the radio show failed to see the light of day due to a technical hitch.

“I was to host a show on Metro FM but they later told me they had a challenge with their antenna or something. Per arrangements, it was for a period so by the time the issue was rectified, the period had elapsed. So that explains it,” he said on Accra FM’s Entertainment Capital, Saturday.

Abrantepa.com recalls suggestions made back then that the reason behind Obrafour’s decision to venture into the radio business was to make money as rumours were rife that he was cash strapped and was not making enough money from music.

Obrafour however rubbished the thoughts as he argued that money was not a factor.

“I’m not motivated by money. I think if you have a gift, you should be ready to put it at the disposal of the society. I’m blessed with the ability to speak well as it is evident in the lyrics of my music. Being a radio presenter, I will be committed to cleaning our airwaves of vulgar language as it’s sometimes heard on radio,” he said on Adom TV’s ‘Bisa Nnwom’.
