  There is nothing wrong for Churches to pay Royalties. Don't the pastors get paid? So what is wrong paying songwriters? In the US most Churches (sans African Churches) pay royalties e.g. thru CCLI etc. However, the royalties are paid to the Songwriters and not the artists/celebrities!
  The problem in Ghana is how are they going to implement this?

  Most of the old hymns are public domain and since they are not the writers they cannot get royalties. likewise all public domain songs with unknown writers.

  They have to pay, damn it? Ain´t they escorting money from people and making them selves wealth? Where I live in Europe, churches pay taxes and the government help them as well.It´s give and take bit not take and take of co ...
