As a nurse who worked in Ghana (37 Military Hospital Isolation ward), worked as a nurse in Europe and and currently residing with my family and working as a nurse in the US. I laugh at ignorant statements like yours. 80% of my HIV/AIDS, Hep patients were Akan's(Ashanti's majority), followed by Northener's who came to the South as Kaya women. In Germany most of the HIV infected men were Ashanti's marrying women for papers whiles their "uneducated, bleached body business wife ("burgress" as they were popular known) stayed back home and enjoyed a few Euros.
I don't even want to get on about their behavior in the US.
Currently, there are 2 Akan pastors (and I use pastor loosely in this context) 1 is from the Eastern region and 1 is from Kumasi who are heading Light House Chapel International in the US, sleeping with some of the single women in their church. The elders of the church have been informed by some church members and as I type this nothing has been done, they both continue to preach in their fornication at the moment. The head pastors are mute and doing nothing. Guess who they are? Ashantis and it makes be believe they as head pastors are probably doing the exact same thing so why reprimand another.
No matter how educated an Ashanti is, they will always have that "nkrasisem" ways about them. It marvels them.
