If truth be told, what existed between you and Kofi is not love. You do not and did not love each other. Kofi is a cheater and adulterer, and you are also guilty of fornicating and lusting after a man, the age of your father, just to satisfy flesh for physical and selfish gains.

Your decision to break with Kofi was just because Dad and friends say no. Not based on any personal commitment, self-realization and the determination to re-make your life for a better future family life. That is wherein lies your biggest test in your ability to withstand any temptation in the foreseeable future after you are married.

Picture Kofi’s wife and his children on your mind and what they might be going through when this man was paying attention and devoting all his time to you and less or no attention to his wife and kids and make that your decision point to end this lustful relationship. It should never be because your dad says no. Are you going to remain in relationship if your husband treats you the same way?

Seek spiritual help immediately without delay to cement this break up and also to completely erase everything about this old man from your memory and your heart else you stand the temptation of being robbed of a fulfilled future marital life with any other man who comes your way.
If the adulterous and lustful chord between you and Kofi is not broken spiritually and physically whereby you will make a deliberate and determined decision of your own to convince yourself beyond all doubt that you are breaking away from Kofi because that is the right thing to do and not to impress your Dad and friends or those against the relationship, that lust will trail you and the past memory will be the yardstick by which you would be measuring how good, loving and caring your future husband is after you are married. Worst of all, if you don’t take care, you will find yourself having a secret sexual relationship with Kofi whilst you are married.

Kofi is not a widow, and even if he were widow, morality should have guided you to have stayed away from such an old person. Kofi didn’t love you a bit as you might be thinking. Kofi has wife and kids. What he does for you and with you is so wrong in the sense that Kofi was robing his wife and kids of the attention, comfort and love that he should have shown to them. Would you like your husband to be giving attention to others outside of your marriage and neglecting you? If your answer is No, then that was exactly what you were doing to Kofi’s wife and kids. The moment you allow the pain that your relationship with Kofi is inflicting on his family to guide you in considering the break-up, the more you are going to regret the past life with Kofi and that will embolden you to stand against any temptation to fall for him again. Sexual sin is terrible. It lingers on and it takes us to heights where it becomes difficult to let go.
Fact is that women who ever faced this kind of problem always had the memory of their ex-boy or man-friend on their mind and in their heart and at the least misunderstanding in their new marital home they tend to think that they made a mistake breaking up. That is when infidelity begins. And for the fear of being ridiculed or mocked by society, they don’t divorce, they dont leave, they dont walk away but stays on and resumes seeing the ex-boyfriend secretly whist still married.
Pray for Kofi for a changed heart and mind to forget about you and ask God to redirect his mind away from you. I do not say you should hate him but start withdrawing from him from now. Tell him “I like you”. Not “I love you”. Tell Him I may not be able to pick your phone calls or reply to your text messages any longer at the rate it used to be. Take off your mind completely from him.
Again, seek spiritual help from a bible-believing pastor, friend, or church and make sure that you are physically and spiritually fortified before moving on into another relationship. Do not rush into any new relationship. If your problem is lust, deal with it now. If your problem is going after people's husband deal with it now before entering into a new relationship.
The marriage institution is under spiritual attack. It is not physical and you cannot fight it physically. Let the mind of Christ be with you.

So let's be mindful when it comes to choice of one's loved.
