    Did you get the officials name and report it? The Home Affairs department has made a massive effort to sort out its operation - I'm sure there is an Anti-corruption hotline.

    I have had lost luggage come through OR Tambo after me a few times. Every single time any small "valuables" (eg: usb drives, phone chargers, small tourist gifts) have been stolen by customs officials. Every time.
