Having been an anti gay myself till now, I really do see the anger and the growing disbelief among Ghanaians who think their culture is under threat. However, people, we shouldn't forget that every single person is unique and they have rights to do what pleases them as long as it doesn't threaten your freedom. The seismic shift in social and cultural attitudes in celebrities such as the one mentioned in this article and few "enlightened" men and women stems from exposure to western culture and thoughtful reasoning.
The truth is : most people are not honest and will jump Out of their shoes to even kill upon seeing or hearing that a particular person is gay. Jesus, in his years, did not judge nor did insulted anybody.
Love is what the world needs- not hate. A little education and exposure to other cultures will go a long way to alter most people s view about homosexuality.
Imagine working in a London or NY hospital as a doctor, nurse and having a gay patient.
Would you refuse the person care and loose your livelihood?
The morale hear is that we should not judge- rather we should let people live as they please - that is what the scriptures say.
