KWEKU MANU'S GENERALISATION LACKS LOGICAL REASONING BECAUSE BRAND NEW CARS ARE NOT EXEMPTED FROM ACCIDENTS. AN ACCIDENT CAN BE CAUSED BY BOTH DRIVER OR MECHANICAL FAULT. REDUCING IMPORT DUTIES ON 2ND HAND PARTS WONT PROVIDE MAGIC SOLUTIONS AS SOME IMPORTED 2ND HAND PARTS ARE EVEN IN WORSE CONDITION AND DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY EUROPE ACCIDENT CAR PARTS AS THEY ARE WELDED OR MODIFIED BY SCRAP DEALERS AND SOLD OUT. THE SPIRITUAL ASPECT I WILL SAY FORCES OF DARKNESS ALWAYS CAPITALISE ON WEAKNESS AND VUNERABILITY OF MANKIND TO STRIKE EVIL. STRICT ENFORCEMENT OF ROAD REGULATIONS, PROPER DRIVER TRAINING ASSESMENT, DVLA PERIODIC CHECKS OF MOTORABILITY OF CARS THROUGH CERTIFID MECHANICS MAY REDUCE BUT NOT TOTALLT ELIMINATE ACCIDENTS

Massa, I can see where you are coming from but can't see where you are going. Is the problem of accidents to do with the witches, drivers, poor car parts, cost of the parts, the duties at ports or the staff at ports? What do you really want from " Our Almighty President"? I wonder if Mr President can hear all of you who want one thing or the other done soon by him. Anyway we the bystanders are watching quietly.

Well, I see where he is going to..stop corruption which turns to over burden tax payers who are already paying higher taxes on used private and commercial vehicles parts, government should reduce taxes so that people can bring in new parts instead of old parts which tends to fail on our high ways causing unnecessary accident which tends to take our loved ones away from us, how can one buys a car in the usa for $3000 dollars and pays $13000 dollars in taxes just to use that car on GH highways, that is a wicked wicked way of making money, at the same time, this ridiculous rates are also applied to used goods and parts which comes into the country. In my opinion, in most cases a parasite mostly destroys and now i see that, the government has become a parasitic to its own people. So in a nut shell, good government=good leadership, reduced taxes will bring in new parts instead of old at way cheaper rate, new parts onto our vehicles, reduces accidents,no $60.000 dollar cars use by the people in the government and could go on and on and on and that way the poor and the rich can survive on a basic common grounds and that is where bro Kwaku Manu is heading towards. Thanks and may the LORD bless our hearts.

Pls think outside the box for a change at least. He has a big point in what he's saying but it is only the sensitive mind that can attract the import of his plea. Lets only take tires for example. If the cost of a tire per import duty deters a commercial driver from replacing his worn out ones, he tries to manage his old ones putting the lives of innocent passengers at risk. Am not saying that alone can prevent accidents but it can drastically reduce the carnage on our roads if import duty was reduced to the barest minimum to make it more affordable. Same goes for other parts as well.
