I think it must be scrapped. It is very idiotic and daylight robbery for especially MPs to be taken such and amount every four yes. Nana should do something about it immediately. Instead of investing, teachers use all their merger salary to put up a building for their retirement days while politicians with these fat salaries are given homes at the expense of the poor teacher. Ghanaians must make sure the MPs stop this nonsense NOW.

Exactly! After dissolution of every Parliament, only for most of them to vie for the post and stand for re-election, and return to the post, in line for another retirement package! Doesn't make any sense at all!!

And that is what is also contributing to draining of the nation's coffers! It doesn't make any sense at all; they consume huge amounts of water and electricity for free - at the expense of the state - so they don't even bother to keep their households in check, like any bill-paying head of a household does, with regards to putting the lights off in rooms that are not being used at any one time, and running water unchecked beyond what is reasonably needed at any one time. And then after all these perks and monthly salaries whilst in the post, they would take home that fat package only to return for more!!
