  Abena Akosua Owusu doesn't give the chance to download any music she posts so we can listen over and over again and get hooked to the artist..why do they still use her handle name to paste music here? Personally I think new artist should give unlimited downloads and make money from shows because the more we like their music the more we will demand live shows so they will be super rich ...this isn't her first...100% of music posted on soundcloud by this name can't be download....if it's an up and coming musician,post it,make it free to download and when we get to know the artist we can queue to buy the next song..

  your post makes sense but business sense teaches us different. if upcoming artist give away their music for free, it won't be respected nor patronized. so the cascading effect you're eluding to won't happen for them. remember, even mix tapes are sold at the back of car trunks and backstage. people only like and respect expensive things wai. to complain that you are not been allowed to download somebody's song that they paid all kinds of money to had it made for free is just a baseless argument. in conclusion, if you like the artist, their up and coming times is when they need support most so make an effort and dash them some small money and it will go a long way. remember, free is what got most of our ancestors on slave ships! learn to pay your way through life and rid yourself with that dreaded hand-me-down mentality most africans have.
