Ghana, if truly "democratic"' means any citizen, as a registered voter, has the right to exercise their "freedom of association" to join... as well as the right to exercise their "freedom of speech" to verbally campaign...for any political party of their choice or 'persuasion' - irrespective of one's ethnicity. Likewise, one is also at liberty to cast his/her vote for whichever political party - without been hounded, heckled, insulted, bullied, judged, intimidated, discriminated against, etc. It is simply against the law to 'hound' a citizen going about their lawful "business", exercising any of the above 'rights' and carrying out their civic duty by partaking in an electoral process. With the elections clearly now over, there is a need for a sense of decorum, tolerance, political sensitivity and maturity to move on. Also, a strong measure of reflection and "level-headedness" should be the order of the day - as our beloved NATION goes through this transitional phase. That is, we should all readily be reflecting on the "challenges" ahead and how each one of us intends to make the "difference" that would positively count towards 'PROGRESSGhana' after (the much awaited/anticipated) 7th of January 2017 ushers in the new government - bearing in mind the hopes, aspirations and desires of the 'masses' for "change".
