Hiplife music is Ghanaian and will always be Ghanaian. But to win the said Award the world have to understand the lyrics. Sing all those Great songs in an International language. In other words all the Great hilife songs should be presented to the Academy Awards in an an International language and let see what happens. Ambulley is partially right until the International language presentation.

I partially agree with the legend Ambulley as Mr.K said.The young musicians don't know and understand the High life rethym.You do a research and you will find out that majority of the radio DJs had it not been payola will not play Hiplife music but the good old High life music.And listeners love these music because of its richess.Dont tell me times have change.I know but does not affect music.It is our mentality and lack of knowledge.Why do you think listeners still love an old Highlife song than the Hiplife remix version of that same song.Some of these old songs were recorded 40-60 or more yrs ago but are still in the system.Most of the Hiplife songs,5-10yrs and they are gone.So Bulldog,go to the Music Legends and learn.People in the Western World see the Hiplife,Dancehall,etc. as Western.Dont present it to them as African music.They know what African music is.And you will be Mark with that to get the award.
