Angelique Kidjo and Nayanka Bell sing in their native Beninois language and their songs are global hits. Thus a song must not necessarily be in English to be a global hit

The reason your music does not make it into Africa or globally is NOT because of language at alllll!!! The reason is that your lyrics are shallow and lack deep insight and also has very little unique rhythm that meet global taste. I advice you to Copy Malian griots like Habib Koite, Angelique Kidjo, Hugh Masekela and even our own Tumi Ebow Ansah. I listen to a few of your songs and it is either you are always talking about love birds or girls or poverty. Such topics are fleeting. You need serious creativity to sing about topics no one will even think about singing about e.g Nat Brews song "Wogb3", angique kidjos " Agolo", Ben brakos "Ntaase". Be proud of your tradition and explore it to your benefit as a highlife singer. The global world music genre wants to feel your unique rhythm and passion not your words per Se. You will be in Ghana and artist like Sherifa Gunu and wiyaala will come and pass you to go international.Learn from them too ,those ladies are seriously creative!
