That song was and has been there long before the formation of Tagoe Sisters. It could be true they wanted to record it but just as it wasn't theirs and anybody at that time could record it, so did Daughters of Glorious Jesus. ... read full comment

It could be true they wanted to record it but just as it wasn't theirs and anybody at that time could record it, so did Daughters of Glorious Jesus. After all, in the copyright laws all over the world, you seek permission from the song owner "the one who actually wrote the song or owns the right" to record, not from somebody who has also borrowed. Tagoe Sisters are raising a form of conflict which they'll loose at any time or any day.

This should tell you how great the ashanti empire is if you want ur music to become a hit song you should be able to sing in twi from gospel to hiplife all to highlife so pls don't be surprised they song in twi instead of Ga.

Two is the universal language of Ghana,so there's nothing wrong with singing in Two.How many of us can understand what they mean when they sing in Ca.We need to grow up as ghanaians towards tribalism.

The issue is that, both singing groups belonged to the same church. The late Rev. Amoako raised the Tagoe sisters, and Amoako's assistant Rev. Elvis Asare raised dauthers of glorious jesus, they were his group so at the time, ... read full comment
The issue is that, both singing groups belonged to the same church. The late Rev. Amoako raised the Tagoe sisters, and Amoako's assistant Rev. Elvis Asare raised dauthers of glorious jesus, they were his group so at the time, Tagoe sisters did the right thing by not turning it into a feud. But I recall being at an event and sensing the tension between the two groups many many years ago at globe cinema when tagoe sisters were launching their album. The two groups should have sat down and talked long long long ago. This is a bit too late, but at the same time it confirms my long held suspicion that all was not well between the two groups. Forgive and forget and love again.
