  If African musicians want to be taken seriously, they need to showcase their various tribal beats instead of taking others. Reggae and Hip Hop are certainly not from the continent and I find it hilarious when I see some of these artists singing in that. Why would I listen to rap when I can listen to it from the country in which it originated from? Other people will come and take our various things that make us special—including tribal attires, dances, beats and overall, our cultural identity. I won't be surprised if I see a tribal dance on TV and people claim it to be from African Americans.
