As I said elsewhere before, just because Akans are the majority in Ghana doesn't mean they're superior to other tribe's. In every society there will always be majority and minority. FYI, calling someone inferior will not automatically make you superior. The earlier you get off your false sense of superiority the better for you. No tribe in Ghana feels inferior to Akans. By the way, what Vicky Zugah said makes a lot of sense to people in abusive relationship.

I am aware of that fact because I was born in Tamale myself, however, Akans are the majority group. Although, there is no statistics or data to support it but that's what we're told.

Children must be raised in a peaceful and loving home, otherwise, it will impact them negatively. The welfare of the children is paramount And must be taken into consideration in situations when the environment is not conducive enough to contain both parents. If you really love your children you must leave your man now. The truth of the matter is that, staying with him only makes the matter worse. He doesn't think he's doing anything wrong. Otherwise why are you still with him? Sometimes separation bring people back to reality. They will realized their mistake and may beg you to come back. But as long as you stay with him the abuse will continue. Do the right thing, leave NOW!!

Now Yaa, my question to you is; do you enjoy feeling unhappy, unloved, depressed, traumatized, emotional imbalance, empty, unworthy and unappreciated? Look here my sister, you're depriving yourself of all the good things life has to offer. Life is too short for you to waste it on an abusive person. For the love of God please help yourself. You deserve better. Sit him down and talk to him about his abusive behavior is destroying your relationship. Threaten him that if he continues like this you'll leave him. And please talk to your family members and his family members about it as well. There should be someone out there that he may listen to. In fact, get your pastors involved. If all your efforts failed, then it's time to pack up and go. At least you've tried. I wish you all the best. Stay strong!!
