About a year ago JJ paid a visit to the asantehene and held private meetings with him.Things changed remarkably right after that.Firstly Rawlings stopped the daily attacks on Kufour.2Asantehene publicly referred to Rawlings' kids as his grandchildren effectively shielding them.3.The daily insults and threats On social media against JJ almost all but stopped overnight.4.Ashanti celebrities started making appearances or seen taking pictures with Rawlings and some have openly supported Zanetor's candidacy.
Whatever was said to achieve this détente must be duplicated to bring the rest of the country together for a peaceful and progressive coexistence.
