For goodness sake, Ghanaians in Ghana need to stop trying to copy African Americans. You have your own cultural identifies that you need to be proud of instead of taking other people's culture. No wonder a countries like Japan and China are so well known. They stuck to their cultures and look at where they are now. China has Ramen Noodles(yes Ramen comes from China), Kung Fu, Martial Arts, Wushu, their monks and other unique things. Japan has anime, manga, video games(Mario brothers, etc), quirky things, their culture of course(samurai, etc). And instead of Ghanaians trying to better themselves first, their allowing the Chinese, Arabs and Akata people to come in. Where were they when Ghana was at its lowest and was under military control(aka JJ Rowlings. It baffles me how he's still allowed to live in Ghana and spew his nonsense along with his wife). No wonder Ghana is still behind. Instead of kicking the others out and encouraging our own, we allow imbeciles to come in and destroy our land.

Thank you, Mena. As a Ghanaian, I get shocked at how my generation is behaving. And they always wonder why we never get anywhere. When the English ruined and stole from India, they tried bettering themselves. They encourage their children to go into fields like medicine, science and business so that their children are able to help build their country. No wonder Indians are some of the smartest and well known people in the world. They take pride in their cultures and languages and they proudly show it to the world. As Ghanaians, we need to build our pride and appreciate our cultures. Just the other day, I got into a rather heated argument with this akata woman who came going on and on about how she is African and all of this crap. I asked her was there when tribes were killing each other, military rulings and other things. She thinks that she knows more than I do which is absolute bull.
