He is advising musicians to stay away from politics and that he has regretted involving himself in politics. He says now that he cannot take care of himself, it is the ndc guns who are taking care of him. So why should he advise others to stay away from politics when politics is taking care of him now?

To me, the common sense understanding of this who saga is that he has regretted serving the ndc. If he has a second chance in life, he will never follow ndc and make songs for them. That's the bare truth he wants to say. He actually wants to say that they don't take care f him but because one ndc group recently made a token contribution to him so he had to polish the whole story. Read the story carefully and draw ur conclusions

Yours truely is very familiar with Jewel Achar. Everything he Is saying here is just the opposite. Through some family connections and in a company of one of his lady cousins, I had the chance to visit Jewel's Community -3 residence, Tema, in 1997. We got there in the early hours of of a day, around 0700, only to meet his absence. His then young beautiful wife, about half the age of Jewel, was however at home. She welcome us in and it appeared she knew nothing about our planned visit as I was able read from her conversation with her sister in law, my partner. It was a Monday morning and this miserable wife told us she has not seen her husband since the previous Friday. She started subbing and threw herself back to the couch where I supposed she passed the night alone. Jewel came to meet us later and we had to drive with him to the Canadian embassy for some business. In his own words, Jewel sitting in the front seat with his son, Sighn, in the drivers seat, started telling his own story. According to jewel, he played a Concert on the previous Friday at the Castle, the then seat of Government , with his excellency, Jerry Rawlings, in attendance. He bragged about how he was generously tipped after the Show by the powers that be. He had lots of money on him in evident to his childish bragging. He told us he was going divorce his wife on a flimsy excuse that the wife did not fancy dressing. He then directed his son to drive us to some motel in the same community 3. Horn was honked and a young lady, much younger than his son, Sighn, came out in a company of her mum. Jewel, the Ogboo himself, the Egwe of Ojortaland, pull his briefcase and the counting of money began. He proudly dash monies to the young lady and her mum. We then drove on and that was when he told us he passed the weekend with the young lady and her mother who doubled as the owner of the Motel. How sad. The bragging continued and Jewl recounted to us how Rawlings and the NDC has been generous to him and tried to justify to us that the display of his disgusting opulence was just the tip of the iceberg. What an idiot? It is therefore very surprising that Jewel is lamenting today about neglect by the NDC. All that I know this dirty oldman wasted all the booty he gained from those useless NDC buffoons on young girls. Is there any wonder that he still leave in the small rathole community residence till date?

No need to sing songs for any particular party we are way passed that.Go to the UK,Germany,USA,Canada and all developed nations nobody sings a song for a particular party the party's DJ just chooses songs they will play at their convention so it could any song from Michael Jackson,Steve Wonder,Ray Charles etc.but nothing special for a party and that is what we should be doing now just choose any nice song from Ampadu,Lumba,Amakye,Jewel,AB,Pat Thomas,CK Mann,K.Gyasi,Daasebre etc.just to make the occasion grandeur that old ways is gone because you should remember that once you produce a special music for any one party then you have told the whole world your NPP,NDC,CPP or PPP simple as that.

It is true the ignorant people are the largest in our society. The narrower it becomes to the tip of a pyramid as per the intelligent people. The NDC derive their political strength from the larger ignorant base and that is the path they have chosen. They are afraid to depart from it. The moment they shift they are doomed. Meanwhile, they never get challenged to find solutions to easy economic problems. They are not bordered with the intellengentsia who will challenge them to find solutions. They are not comfortable with them because of lazy attitude to think. They will do and say anything against or avoid thinkers, intelligent and wise people because they feel the intelligentsia are minority and their political strength does not lie with them. This is the cause of NDC inability to solve economic problems which needs intellectual thinking and support. To weaken NDC is to remove ignorance and promote accurate knowledge through mass education. Propaganda is lack of accurate knowledge which is only for the ignorant people. It is NDC political strength. The ignorant people pose no challenge to NDC. They will keep failing where things are becoming more complex. COMMENTS INVITED

Ghanaian musicians have a wonderful opportunity to put the country in a better shape, but they and the pastors are rather the cause of our problems. They are architects of superstition, immorality and ignorance. Jewel used his talent, not to educate voters and get good leaders for the children he would eventually leave behind, but rather he followed his stomach.

You just chose to support the wrong party. That's all it is. Others were paid for their work. NDC will fry you like "kyenam" until you burn in the pan. Good lessons learnt! Don't follow that party; you won't reach anywhere.
