Sparrow Productions holds press screening of “Grey Dawn”

Sparrow Productions, a film, television and advertising production company in Ghana has held its press screening for latest movie “Grey Dawn” at Georges in Accra on February 3, 2015.

The movie is set to be premiered on 13th & 14th February 2015 at the SilverBird Cinemas at the Accra Mall & Weija.

Grey Dawn which was written and produced by Shirley Frimpong-Manso, Chief Executive Officer of Sparrow Productions tells the story of a government minister who is forced to choose between using his position to help his father in-law stay out of jail for tax evasion or allow the law to take its course with him.

The decision of the government minister (Finance Minister) with the name Harold in the movie sets in motion a chain of events that lures him into committing one sin that will haunt him for the rest of his life.

At the end, the government minister quits political activities and position to stay with his family not forgetting to hold on to the secret of the murderer of the artist who dates his wife and daughter.

“Grey Dawn”, co-produced by Ken Attoh featured great and talented actors and actresses from different countries including Nigeria’s Bimbo Manuel, Funlola Aofiyebi-Raimi, Marlon Mave and young talent Sika Osei.

In an interview with the CEO of Sparrow Productions, Shirley Frimpong-Manso, the movie “Grey Dawn” emphasizes on the significance of keeping a family in a good shape, how women give up and generally how people please others in the society even when the house is falling apart.

“Life is complicated and everything is real, so we had wanted to show in this movie how things are real and what one can do if caught up in such situation”, she added.

Shirley explained that the concept of featuring different people from outside Ghana is to emphasize on the ability to use new faces to promote the acts of telling progressive African stories.
