When Lazarus died, and Jesus told his disciples that they should go and raise Lazarus, Thomas decided to be sarcastic and said "lets go so that we may also die with him" referring to Jesus becos the jews wanted to kill Jesus. You are being sarcastic towards the man of God, you may think it is cute. What you need is not to apologize, you need to repent. You need a strong dosage of rebuke, becos this is how rebellion starts, don't think that your status as a "so called celebrity" allows you equal footing with the man of God, I told you before that he is not your coequal. You must REPENT. For you are in the beginning stages of rebellion, its only stage 1, repent before the cancer becomes worse. May the Lord help you to repent. Because you have made it public, when you repent, do not be afraid to go public with a GENUINE repentance, not with a repentance look alike. She being the daughter of a minister of the gospel, should have known first hand that it is not her place to rebuke a man of God. Her father should have thought her well. She should first focus on the fact that as the daughter of a minister who may have thought her well, there are certain movie roles that she should not have accepted. So she should remove the speck in her own eye first before she removes the log in a man of Gods eye. Rebuke yourself and let God deal with His man. Do you think God approves of your almost nakedness in some of your movies, all in the name of playing a part well. Not everything American or foreign is wholesome. I live in the USA, and I say it to my fellow americans all the time, that some of their cultural norms are the most morally bankrupt a nation can have.

The bible references numerous cases where men of God where chastised for doing or saying the wrong thing. Listen, no one is above reproached. We worship and love the Almighty God. Jesus spoke against the religious establishment so we have every reason to speak our mind if we feel what is being said by a pastor is wrong. You should think through of what the girl is putting forward. Duncan Williams has his own flaws, just as Lydia. You become chosen to become a man of God not because of your righteousness but His Grace and Mercy. In the same way that Duncan saw marriage as a privilege, the same can also be said of being called a pastor - it is privilege. Judge not for ye shall not be judged.

So, a so called "man of God" makes derogatory remarks about women using his bully pulpit, where the sheeple go to listen to his babbling every Sunday without anyone with half a brain in their head asking questions about the crap he says. And then one intelligent and smart woman who has every right under the sun as bestowed by our creator calls him out, now all “hell” is breaking loose.

For those of you bashing this lady, I think you need to step back, listen to what Duncan Williams said, the initial response and also this poetry lyric as posted here. Duncan is clearly wrong in his statements and he should be apologizing to all the women in Ghana for such demeaning remarks about them.

I see the usual scare mongering going on here when it comes to dealing with foolishness peddled in our society by these charlatans with comments like “touch not my anointed”, “wait and see what happens to Lydia”, “she should be careful about talking about the man of God” etc etc etc. If you ask me, by Duncan William’s comments he has rather touched the anointed of God by casting those derogatory remarks about WOMEN, and he should be rendering his unqualified apology to them. And for your information NOTHING will happen to Lydia for speaking her mind (that’s just what sane people do).

No wonder our country is in such a deplorable state as it is now; we run, push, shove and trample over people including our own family members from Monday to Sunday to listen to such quackery from these so-called men of God in lieu of doing something meaningful with our lives like helping our kids with their homework, cleaning up our communities, being diligent in our work places and above all THINKING for ourselves etc etc etc.

If the so called man of God thinks he has the right to denigrate women in his congregation and in the country then he loses the right NOT to be touched, for everyone, including women, children and men, under the sun is also the anointed of God.

The problem in Ghana is that we are always afraid of thinking outside the box. Speaking your mind on issues, being political, social or life is your inherent right as part of the group. We failed miserably in that area and look at where it has taken us: up the the creek without a paddle.

Now the country is tethering on the brink of political and economic abyss.

So standing up to a loudmouth who hides behind the pulpit to spew out antiquated ideas and uses the name of the Lord for his scamming schemes is NOT something you should apologize for.
That crook is counting on the gullibility and the massive illiteracy of our Ghanaian populace to push forward his scamming schemes, not to mention the manipulation of the mindset of Ghanaians.

By this action, I think Lydia has "lost face" in the eyes of a lot of the right thinking Ghanaians who thought she had "balls".

Learn from Ama K. Abrebese. Now that's a lady with brains, beauty, class and the "balls". She says something that in her heart she knows is the truth and stands by it, no matter the amount of bullying, posturing and threats from any quarter. Now that's my kind of woman.

Lydia's action is a clear case of how "weakly-minded" Ghanaians are in terms of standing up for our rights and thinking outside the box.

No wonder we never seem to be able to move forward in anything. We are stuck in our rut and just spinning our wheels.

We have useless leaders leading a useless populace.

In reading what Duncan Williams said about Isaiah 4:1 in relation to his inferences, he was off the mark in using that passage to emphasized that because Ghanaian women does not appreciate their men, it is biblically right for them to chose to take 7 women.

One must be careful when teaching the words of God in order not to misrepresent the intentions of the Almighty. Isaiah 4:1 was meant as admonishment to the people of Judah and its source can be found in Isaiah chapter 3:The calamities about to come upon the land. (1-9) The wickedness of the people. (10-15) The distress of the proud, luxurious women of Zion. (16-26). These verses will explain why 4:1 came about.

So, if a man of God is using the word of God out of context, it opens the door for ridicule.So Lydia Forson is within her right to be facetious.

One small point to note is that she has a Christian background (her father is a Reverend Minister)and may be aware of how far off the point the man of God was in his assertions.

The more people challenge the preachers in what they say the more they will be careful in their utterances.
