Clueless Ghana web with NO SENSE OF HISTORY, Maya Angelo's passing is news worthy that does not belong in the entertainment section but in the general news section.
This woman was in Ghana in the 50s and 60s and worked with Nkrumah and after 1966, continued to work as a Pan African leader for our struggle against emancipation of the continent and wrote more books than all book writers in Ghana, and you clueless bunch think she's an entertainer? Trust me nothing wrong being an entertainer as 'am a musician/song writer.
Maya's life was too expansive to be boxed in entertainment. She was a political activist who self exiled herself in Ghana from her racist country of USA. Married to a South African to be part of the anti aparthaid fight. Her book WHY THE CAGED BIRD SINGS was banned in both in the US and South Africa until recently.
Before you give a tribute to a fallen legend, do some research so that you do not look and sound ignorant of your subject.
How sad we can devalue our heroes like that with our lost sense of history?
