Ghanaians hate to be told the truth, if this observations were expressed by any other national either than a Ghanaian who himself is a musician; hell would have broken loose woth unprintable insults. Even this, Ayisoba will not be spared for being so bold to tell the hardcore truth about the sorry state of Ghanaian music. I have expressed same opinion in the past that Azonto had come to destroy an already bad quality of the Ghanaian music, and that Hiplife is simply a diversion or a creation of a brand which was never going to get across the boarder anyway. Ghana was never or had never been a force musically worldwide to be able to influence a certain brand of its own to the world; such an influence could never have come from Ghana the least, unfortunately the result is the total destructions of the illustrious Highlife music Ghana had been known for atleast for decades. Not surprised after fruitless promotions of Hiplife and Azonto which led to the destructions of Ghanaian musical talents; most young Ghanaian musicians now turn to copying Nigerian lyrics, style snd brand of music. Its a pity Ghanaians don't like the truth.

Lets be frank, Azonto is been played and recognized throughout Africa and even the American rappers who are currently collaborating with African musicians like Chris Brown, Rick Ross etc are dancing Azonto.Sarkodie has received international awards including BET and most of these hiplife videos are been aired on MTV,TRACE,BET,and many more. Ayisoba, don't be jealous, your style is artistic, appropriate for documentary and cultural scenes but off course, it wont fit in any function. You have your style, we appreciate it but don't rubbish hiplife, these two are uncomparable. Any way Ghanaian musicians should seek to satisfy Ghanaians first.Americans compose to satisfy the American listeners not us.They have their style, we have our own.
