"Damirifa due" is another way of saying "sorry for your loss".
The piece is nice except for that "damirifa" something, something. No matter what, I still love KKD.

Just yesterday we heard a bad news that transmitted chill in our spine, namely the sudden departure of our brother, hero, mentor Komla Dumor. He was indeed a pride to Africans and people of black origin, lets admit we all felt proud whenever we saw him of the screen. Some of us boasted that Komla was our country man. News coming through suggests he was selected to be the face of the BBC during at the 2014 World Cup. For an african man surrounded by many enemies, envy, backstabbing from within, not to talk of those back home , was a great feat. Inspite of all the success, fame, prestige and credentials our brother was not guaranteed tomorrow, may his rest in peace, our prayers are with his children, wife and his extended family and friends. However i want to highlight to you dear reader that you are not guaranteed tomorrow. Komla certainly had aspirations and things he had imagined in the pipeline. What i want to say is that tomorrow may not come so leave your life to the fullest in God.
Hebrews 9:27
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment": Komla has one his bit, he s now gone. After a person leaves this earth judgement awaits before his maker. Hence we need to make sure we know where we are going after this life,
For you to be guaranteed tomorrow and to live in eternity in a place called heaven, you have to receive Gods plan of salvation through His Son Jesus Christ who came to pay the penalty of our sins. When you confess him as your Lord and saviour, God grants you a place in His heavenly Kingdom for eternity.
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name": John 1:12
" "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going." John 14:1-4
SALVATION
Since you may not know what will happen in the next minute, consider giving your life to Jesus. The bible says in John 3:16 " For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life".
"And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. Rev 20:12
At the moment any dead person so to speak is awaiting "trial" either in heaven or in hell, the question is where will you await the trial, after the trial, the person is setenced to hell if they did not live for Jesus in this life or sent to heaven if they lived for Jesus.
Make the right choice today to receive Jesus as your Lord and saviour.
CONFESS
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved". Romans 10:9
Beloved after you have done this please find a bible believing church near you and attend regularly, let the pastor know that you want to know more about Jesus and you would like to live for Jesus and practice the Christian way of living, You will also need to be baptised by immersion in water and required to attend church on regular basis. God bless u all.
PRAY WITH ME:
* Lord Jesus, i m a sinner, i come before you, forgive me my sins, wash me in your precious blood, I admit my sins, please forgive me and save my soul, I believe you are the Son of God, that you died and rose again on the third day, I believe you are coming back again. I confess you as my Lord and Saviour with my mouth and Believe in you with my heart. I am born again, I m a Child of God. Amen!!!

"Damirifa due" goes to the family not the deceased. It's like sending your condolence. You sympathize with the family not the deceased. All we like sheep, have gone astray. We've left behind our culture, embracing others peoples culture and here we are fumbling at the use of such a simple and common but very important phrase in our society. Shame on the mess
To the Kwansima Dumor, children and the entire family of our late brother, I say "Damirifa due, due ne amanehuu, due ne osuu, damirifa due due".

I lost my mother some years back but the death of Komla is so painful that tears rolled down my eyes freely. Who in Ghana or on the planet earth can replace this icon. Komla you lived 41 years on earth but you touched millions lives including me. Which journalist in Ghana can replace him. Absolutely no body. Good people most often die in such manners to cause every body pain
